How Local Scraper Studio accesses, uses and stores data.
How Local Scraper Studio handles data
Effective date: 6 October 2026 · Publisher: NK ToolsWhat the extension accesses
Local Scraper Studio reads the content of websites you select for extraction. Depending on the tool and fields you choose, this can include text, links, HTML, image URLs, visible email addresses and nearby context. The source-tab selector reads open website tab titles and URLs so you can choose a target. The extension also processes URLs, CSV files and recipe files you choose to import.
How data is used and stored
This information is used to perform your requested extraction, display previews and results, navigate extraction batches and generate exports. Recipes, settings, extraction history and job checkpoints are stored locally in your Chrome profile using extension storage. The extension does not use Chrome storage sync for these records.
The extension does not send extracted datasets to NK Tools, operate an analytics integration, sell data or use data for advertising, creditworthiness or lending decisions. Data access and use are limited to its user-facing extraction and export features.
Website and Google Maps training
When you start training, the extension records the selectors for profile cards and fields you choose. It can collect matching profile URLs, follow your selected Next or Load More button, scroll for more results, and open JavaScript-driven profile cards in the selected tab to discover their destination URLs. It then returns to the directory. These page visits use your normal browser session. Training setups and discovered URLs are stored locally with your recipes and results; they are not sent to an AI service or the publisher.
Limited use
Local Scraper Studio follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use information accessed through Chrome APIs only to provide the extraction features you request, do not sell it or use it for advertising, and do not send extracted datasets to the publisher for human review.
Website and image requests
Navigating selected websites and displaying or downloading their images makes requests to those websites or their image hosts. These services can receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and request metadata. Normal tab navigation uses your browser session. The extension’s background image-download requests omit credentials. A website’s own privacy policy governs its handling of requests.
Exports and retention
You control which results are downloaded or copied to the clipboard. Exported files and clipboard content exist outside extension storage and are managed by you and your operating system. The extension does not automatically upload exported files elsewhere.
You can delete runs and recipes through the extension interface. History retention settings remove older completed runs as new runs are started. Uninstalling the extension removes its extension storage; downloaded files remain until you delete them separately. Locally stored records are not protected by a separate application password.
Permissions
The extension uses browser permissions to display its side panel, access user-selected web pages, run its packaged picker and extractor, navigate requested URL batches, download image data and save results locally. HTTP/HTTPS host access supports multiple websites and image hosts; it does not cause pages to be scraped automatically on installation.
This website and support messages
This privacy and support website is hosted by Cloudflare. Serving the website requires network information such as your IP address and request metadata to be processed by the hosting provider. We have not added analytics or advertising scripts to this website. If you email us, we receive your email address and the message you choose to send, and use them to respond to your request. Please avoid sending sensitive extraction datasets when requesting help.
Policy changes
Any material change to these practices will be reflected in an updated policy and, where appropriate, in the extension or store listing.
